encourages the study of Colorado archaeology
cooperates with state, academic, and other organizations concerning archaeology
sponsors field trips to archaeological sites throughout the western states
takes part in field investigations with surveying, mapping and excavating sites
assists in the protection of antiquities and archaeological resources
maintains a chapter library and laboratory
curates artifacts
provides education and training to CAS members and the public
members write site reports and publish articles
Membership
is open to any person interested in archaeology and agreeing with our purposes and with
the CAS Code of Ethics.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Through Education and Fellowship,
CAS-Denver Chapter shall endeavor to sponsor Scholarly Research on our state's cultural
resources and thereby participate in the Stewardship of these finite and non-renewable
resources.
