Searching Hints
   
On the "Index" worksheet, you can use the AutoFilter tool to find entries of interest
   
1 Choose a column that you would like to search entries for, e.g. Author(s), Keywords, etc.
2 Click on the pull-down arrow in the heading label for that column. (These arrows are provided when AutoFilter is turned on)
3 Select "(Custom…)" from the list, and then…
  a Click the pull-down arrow at the box at the upper left ("equals") and scroll down to select "contains"
  b Enter a single value to search for in the box on the right.  For example, for the Author(s) column, enter one name. For the Keyword column, enter one keyword.
  c Optional:  For a more specific search, you may repeat steps 3a and 3b in the pair of boxes below to specify a second search value, selecting "And" (those containing both values) or "Or" (those containing either value)
d Click OK
e Entries containing the values(s) you entered will be shown
4 You can repeat steps 1-3 on other columns to refine your search further
5 To undo all filtering you have done above, click "Data" on the top menu, then "Filter", then "Show All"
   
Note:  The "Listing" worksheet always displays all the records, not just the ones selected with the filter, but it does reflect the sort order on the Index sheet
   
Sorting Hints  
   
On the "Index" worksheet, use can use Data/Sort
   
1 Select the entire table, Columns A through H from Row 3 all the way down to the last row.  You can do this easily by clicking on the down arrow in the name box, which is to the left of the formula bar, just above the data area.  Select the name "EntireTable" from the pull-down list
2 Click "Data" on the top menu, then "Sort"
3 Choose the column(s) to sort on, and the desired order
4 Click OK  
   
The "Listing" worksheet will display entries reflecting the sort you performed.  To adjust the row height, select all rows on the "Listing" worksheet, then click "Format" on the top menu, then "Row", then "AutoFit"
