Chapters represented: Denver, Hisatsinom, Indian Peaks, Northern Colorado, Pikes Peak, Pueblo, and Rock Art.
- Membership: There are 999 chapter members and 714 chapter memberships. Unaffiliated members are 66 and unaffiliated memberships are 58. Twenty-six institutional subscriptions expired in 2010 and were not renewed. Thirty-one institutional subscriptions expired on the first of January, 2011 with payment pending. Only 11 institutional subscriptions are current. The Life Members Fund will be depleted in 2011. Chapters need to notify Bev Goring of the Life Members left in each chapter.
- 2011 Scholarship Applications
will be sent out immediately, and will be due on March 15. Awards will be announced on March 26th at the La Junta Quarterly Meeting. $3200 is available to be awarded in 2011.
- 2011 PAAC Summer Training Survey
will be at Antelope Gulch, probably in late June.
- PAAC class schedule (
first half of 2011) is posted on the OAHP website. Updated PAAC course handouts were distributed to chapters.
- Five PAAC Certifications
were awarded: PAAC Scholars Carl and Barbara Haberland (Pueblo) and Ann Sanger (Pikes Peak); Lab Trainees Dennis and Wendy Schiferl (Pueblo).
- New CAS anti-vandalism program
: Tom Sholes (EDUCATION/COMMUNITY OUTREACH) premiered a PowerPoint presentation created for Boy Scouts. It emphasizes the ethics of visiting archaeological sites. The program is to be test marketed to two Boy Scout Councils leadership.
- LONG RANGE PLANNING c
ommittee is being reactivated. Liability insurance continues to be investigated. A coordinator is needed to increase involvement of CAS members in scientific activities. Chapters are to communicate information on laboratory and fieldwork opportunities in their area to the coordinator. Jack Warner (Denver) will explore the feasibility of the use of Facebook to communicate CAS activities to the membership.
- New Colorado State Archaeologist
is Richard Wilshusen. He plans to attend CCPA and March CAS meeting in La Junta.
- CHS State Historical Fund Grants
will be not be awarded in this round.
- Colorado Historic Preservation Month poster
will be ready by the Quarterly Meeting on March 26.
- 2011 Annual Meeting:
Boulder on October 15. Call for papers will be made at the CCPA meeting in March. Additional information on the annual meeting also will be available at that time.
- 2010 financial reports:
Chapters are reminded to mail or email to Michele Giometti. IRS Form 990-N are to be filled out online before May 15. Three volunteers are needed for the financial audit of the 2010 State CAS records. Contact Michele if interested.

- CAS Historic Preservation Month Mini-Grants
to individual chapters will be for special educational events. $200 is available for each Chapter. This does not include regular monthly meetings. Grants will be approved by Terry Murphy and Jason La Belle. Tom Hoff will send out a notice to chapters
- 2011 Raft Trip:
A San Juan River raft trip with Sally Cole was proposed and will be looked into. Tom & Terri Hoff offered to coordinate.
