ALICE HAMILTON

2008 Scholarships will be awarded by the Colorado Archaeological Society in memory of Alice Hamilton, who was a member of the C.A.S. Denver Chapter and avid supporter of Archaeology.

Awards are based on the merits of the application, rather than financial need.

REQUIREMENTS

A.    Applicant must be majoring in Anthropology or cross-discipline field, emphasis in Archaeology.

B.       Applicant must be attending an accredited college or university in Colorado, and carrying at least a

                               half-time course load.

Include your permanent address, phone number and email address, as well as the name of the college or university at which you are enrolled on the Student Application Cover Sheet.

Indicate how you plan to use the money, including a proposed budget of your expenses. This award may be used for research projects, lab fees, field school, tuition, books, etc.

Provide a resume of your archaeological accomplishments (study and experience).

Include two (2) written references from current instructors or professionals in Anthropology/ Archaeology. These should be sent directly to us. Your application will not be complete without these.

Applications and references may be submitted by U.S. Mail and/or by e-mail (preferred).

All materials must be postmarked or emailed on/or before March 30, 2008

6. Awards will be determined by April 12, 2008. Applicants will be notified by early May.
