
ALICE HAMILTON SCHOLARSHIP FUND
2011 Scholarships will be awarded by the Colorado Archaeological Society in memory of Alice Hamilton, who was a member of the C.A.S. Denver Chapter and avid supporter of Archaeology.
These competitive awards range from $200 up to $750 each. Awards are based on the merits of the application, rather than financial need.
REQUIREMENTS
A. Applicant must be majoring in Anthropology or cross-discipline field, with emphasis in Archaeology.
B. Applicant must be attending an accredited college or university in Colorado, and carrying at least a half-time course load.
APPLICATION
1. Include a filled in cover sheet with your application materials. The cover sheet is available at the CAS website, http://www.coloradoarchaeology.org; follow the Alice Hamilton link, or by email request to the address below.
2. Tell how you plan to use the money, including a proposed budget of your expenses. This award may be used for research projects, lab fees, field school, tuition, books, etc.
3. Provide a resume of your archaeological accomplishments (study and experience).
4. Include two (2) written references from current instructors or professionals in Anthropology/ Archaeology. These should be sent directly to us, by email (preferred) or U. S. Mail. Your application will not be complete without these.
5. Applications and references may be submitted by e-mail (much preferred) or by U.S. Mail.
